Showers at Schiphol Airport

Where to take a shower at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol: free cabins, YOTELAIR, the Mercure hotel and lounges, with prices and locations.

Where can you shower at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol?

Schiphol has free shower cabins airside in the EF filter, reached by following the signs to First Aid from Lounge 2 or Holland Boulevard; they are open 24 hours (checked September 2026). Paid showers with towels and toiletries are available at YOTELAIR in Lounge 2 and the Mercure Hotel in Lounge 3, both after security.

  • Free cabins: EF filter between Lounge 2 and Holland Boulevard, 24/7, bring your own towel.
  • YOTELAIR, Lounge 2 upper level (piers D and E): €17.50 single or €22.50 double, up to 45 minutes.
  • Mercure Hotel, Lounge 3 upper level (piers F, G and H): €22.50 including towel and toiletries.
  • Airline lounges such as the KLM Crown Lounge also have showers for eligible passengers.

How much does a shower cost at Schiphol?

The airside cabins in the EF filter are free, but nothing is provided, so pack a towel and toiletries in your hand luggage. YOTELAIR charges €17.50 for a single-use shower cabin (€22.50 for two people) for up to 45 minutes, with towel, shower gel and shampoo included (checked September 2026).

The Mercure Hotel shower costs €22.50 including a towel and toiletries; it sits opposite the KLM Crown Lounge on the upper level of Lounge 3. Neither YOTELAIR nor the Mercure showers can be pre-booked; pay on arrival, subject to availability.

Free cabin, YOTELAIR or a lounge: which should you pick?

Use the free EF filter cabins if you have your own towel and just need to freshen up on a layover. Choose YOTELAIR or the Mercure when you want a clean, private cabin with everything supplied, or a proper nap as well. If you have lounge access via a business ticket or Priority Pass, check whether your lounge has showers before you pay elsewhere.

Tips for showering at Schiphol

  • All shower options are airside, so clear security first.
  • Pack a small towel and travel-size toiletries if you plan to use the free cabins.
  • Allow 30 to 45 minutes including the walk between piers.
  • Peak morning hours can mean a wait at YOTELAIR; go before the rush if you can.
  • Pair a shower with the rest zones or a pod if your layover is long.
